RFQ and Quotation Disclaimer
This page explains what a request for quotation and a written quotation commit each side to, and what remains subject to review. It applies to every request submitted through this website and to every quotation issued in response.
Draft provided for review
This text is supplied for review and requires final confirmation by the owner of GC Abucay Packaging or their legal adviser before the site is launched. It is not legal advice and has not yet been adopted as the final published policy.

01
The quotation statement
The following is the statement that accompanies every quotation issued by GC Abucay Packaging Corporation. It is reproduced here in full and is the core of this page.
This quotation is based on the information and specifications provided and remains subject to final technical review, material availability, artwork confirmation, quantity, delivery location, applicable taxes, and written acceptance. Changes in specifications may require a revised quotation. A quotation request or quotation alone does not constitute a confirmed production order.
The sections below explain each part of that statement in ordinary language. Where the two differ, the statement above and the wording printed on your own quotation govern.
02
What you acknowledge when you submit
The same acknowledgement is shown before a request is submitted. By sending a quotation request you confirm that you understand each of these points.
- The information is submitted for quotation evaluation.
- Submission is not a confirmed production order.
- Final specifications remain subject to review.
- Price, tax treatment, material availability, lead time, and delivery terms will be stated in the written quotation.
- Specification changes may require a revised quotation.
- Submitted personal and business information will be processed for quotation, communication, transaction, and legitimate recordkeeping purposes.
03
A request is not an order
Submitting a request opens an evaluation. It does not reserve production capacity, does not fix a price, and does not oblige either side to proceed. No account, deposit or payment is required to submit one, and nothing is charged for preparing a quotation.
Equally, a quotation on its own is not a confirmed order. An order exists only once a current quotation has been accepted and confirmed as described in section 12.
04
What the written quotation states
The written quotation is the authoritative document. It states the specification as understood at the time of quoting, the quantity or quantities quoted, the price and the terms that apply, including any one-time charges and the period for which the quotation stands.
Nothing said in an email, a message, or on any page of this website varies a quotation. If something needs to change, it is issued as a revised quotation so both sides are working from the same document.
05
The information you provide
A quotation is prepared from the information and specifications you supply. Its accuracy therefore depends on yours. Dimensions must be stated with the unit of measurement, and unless you say otherwise they are read as internal dimensions - the usable space inside the assembled box.
Where a requirement is based on a box you already use, the figures you measure are the starting point. Whether a physical sample is also required is confirmed during specification review.
06
Technical review and specification changes
Every request is reviewed technically before costing. Review may show that the specification as submitted is not suitable for the product, the handling or the storage conditions described. Where that happens you are contacted, and an alternative is discussed before a quotation is prepared.
Final specifications remain subject to review, and a change to the specification after a quotation has been issued may require a revised quotation.
07
Material availability
Quotations assume that the material described remains available at the time of order. Final material construction and availability remain subject to specification review. Where a material is unavailable, an alternative is proposed and quoted rather than substituted silently.
08
Artwork and production proofs
Artwork is not required to obtain a quotation; the number of print colours and the approximate printed area are enough to cost the work. Print-ready artwork is required before production, and printing is quoted on the assumption that supplied artwork is suitable for the process.
Artwork preview is illustrative and is not a final production proof. Colour appearance on a screen does not represent printed colour on corrugated board.
09
Quantity, tooling and revised versions
Price is quoted against a stated quantity. Set-up effort is spread across the run, so a different quantity is a different price, not a proportional adjustment of the one quoted. Alternative quantity tiers can be quoted side by side on request.
Die-cut structures and printing plates may carry a one-time set-up charge. Where one applies it is stated separately in the quotation rather than folded into the unit price.
10
Taxes, delivery and other charges
Applicable taxes, delivery or pickup arrangements, and any other charges are stated in the written quotation. They are not published on this site, because they depend on the specification, the quantity and the delivery location, and a figure shown out of that context would be misleading.
Delivery location and arrangement are quoted separately from the boxes themselves.
11
Validity and quotation versions
Each quotation states the period for which it stands. That period is printed on the quotation itself and is not published here, because it is set per quotation. After it lapses, a quotation can be reissued following a short review.
Where a specification changes, a new version of the quotation is issued. Only the current version can be accepted, so a superseded version cannot be confirmed by mistake.
12
Acceptance and confirmation of an order
Acceptance is recorded in writing. You accept the current version of the quotation through the secure link issued to you, and the order is then confirmed by the purchase order you upload against that accepted quotation.
Until both of those steps have happened, no production order exists. Any date discussed before that point is indicative and is confirmed against the accepted quotation.
13
Illustrations and previews
Three dimensional previews, dimension guidance and gallery items on this site are shown for structural illustration. They are not photographs of completed customer projects, and the guidance is illustrative rather than an engineering certification.
Suitability for a particular product, load or storage condition is confirmed during specification review, not from an illustration.
