The options you can ask about.
These are the material, construction and printing choices the quotation request collects. They are the vocabulary for describing what you want — not a published list of what can be produced. What is actually suitable and available for your box is settled in the specification review that follows your request.

This page does not publish board grades, flute combinations or printing capabilities. Those are confirmed to you in writing during review, together with the quotation.
Group 01
Material and outer surface
The outer surface is what the box looks like before anything is printed on it, and it changes how any printing reads once it is applied.
- Kraft
- The natural brown corrugated surface. The most common outer appearance for shipping and storage cartons, and the usual reference point when comparing cost.
- White-top
- A white outer liner over corrugated board. Normally enquired about where printed graphics need a lighter background, or where the box is seen by the end customer.
- Other
- Any other surface or finish you have in mind. Describe it in your own words in the request and it will be reviewed before costing.
- Not sure
- Leave the surface open. Tell us what the box is for and the choice is discussed with you during specification review.

Group 02
Board construction
Construction describes how many fluted layers sit inside the board. It is the choice most closely tied to product weight, stacking height and handling conditions.
- Single-wall
- One fluted layer between two liners. The general-purpose corrugated construction, and the lighter of the two in material used.
- Double-wall
- Two fluted layers with an intermediate liner between them. Enquired about where the load is heavier, the stack is taller, or handling is rougher.
- Not sure
- State the product weight and how the boxes will be stacked or stored, and the appropriate construction is reviewed against that rather than guessed.

Group 03
Printing
Printing is specified by how many ink colours the design uses. Colour count and printed area affect both the unit price and any one-time plate requirement.
- No printing
- Plain board with no printed image. Handling marks or labels can still be applied separately by you after delivery.
- One colour
- A single ink colour. Typically enquired about for a company name, product identification, batch marks or handling symbols.
- Two colours
- Two ink colours. Usually a logo plus supporting text, or a mark set against a second identifying colour.
- Multi-colour
- More than two ink colours. Enquired about where the box carries fuller brand artwork rather than identification alone.
- Not sure
- Send the artwork you have, or describe what needs to appear on the box, and the printing requirement is worked out during review.

“Not sure” is a complete answer in every group. Deferring a choice does not delay a request; it simply becomes one of the points raised during review.
Everything is reviewed together
Surface, construction and printing are not decided independently. They are read against the product, the quantity and the handling conditions you describe.
The quotation is the record
Whatever is finally agreed appears in the written quotation. A selection made on the website is a request for costing, not a confirmed specification.
Final specifications and pricing will be stated in the written quotation.
